Fruity,chewy slime

what you need

  • 1/2 Pints water
  • 120 ml starburst
  • 4 oz icing sugar
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • a small-to-medium-sized saucepan
  • 1 small heatproof or pyrex bowl
  • Heat (hob)
  • One silicone spatula
  • Oven gloves( adult supervision is required
  • 35 cm piece of baking parchment paper.

step 1

Pour water into a saucepan until the water level is 5cm deep.

step 2

Pour the unwrapped sweets into the heatproof bowl.

step 3

Place the bowl with the sweets into the pot of water, and

put the saucepan on the hob.

step 4

Turn on the heat beneath the pan to medium-low heat and

DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED

slowly stir the mixture, and it should melt within a few

minutes.

step 5

When the mixture is fully melted, turn of the heat, and let

it sit for two minutes. It will cool just a little,so

DO NOT TOUCH IT!!!

it will be very hot .

Step 6

Using oven gloves, remove the bowl with the mixture

from the saucepan.

Step 7

On a nearby surface, lay out the sheet of parchment

paper. Sprinkle some of the icing sugar on its

surface. This will keep the mixture from sticking

to your table.

step 8

Grease your spatula with cooking oil.

step 9

Using the spatula, pour the melted mixture onto

the parchment paper.Though it will be super

sticky,The oil on the spatula will help it slide off

step 10

Let the mixture cool down for three minutes.

After that, check it every minute with the

spatula. If it stretches too easily like goop,

it is still too hot and needs to cool for

another two minutes or so .When you stick

the spatula in and the mixture feels thick and

stiff, you,ll know its ready.

step 11

Slowly add your remaining icing sugar  to the

batter as you fold it in  with the spatula.

If it becomes too stiff, go back yo the double -boiler

method (step three) for one minute and it will

soften right up ! then let it cool down for one

to three minutes.

step 12

once you have added the sugar  and the mixture

has cooled down , it's time to use your hands!

start kneading until your fruity, chewy slime is

no longer sticking to your hands!

Now you have a choice do you eat your slime,or

play with it?
